Best of breed technology from a single supplier A place in the Ecetera portfolio means that a technology can hold its own in a category of software that adds real value for organizations looking to improve the way they build, test, and run the applications their online users depend on. Because we gain experience from working with many different customers we can identify where technology can be applied to improve the quality of applications as experienced by end users. Then it is a matter of identifying the technology that provides the greatest value and incorporating it into the Ecetera technology portfolio. Incorporating a technology into the Ecetera portfolio means hiring and/or training staff to provide expertise in the technology, setting up technical support services, establishing a training program, enabling the sales organisation to help customers to understand how the technology can add value for them. A portfolio approach reduces the risk to organisations of investing in incompatible or difficult to integrate technology, and it reduces the complexity of having to manage different suppliers who may be reluctant to take ownership of problems on the boundaries.
